What film have you seen more times than any other? When was  the last time that you saw it? Who were you with?

Steel Magnolias – I watched it with my big girl the first time. I have seen it about 40 times!!!!!

Revolving around Truvy’s Beauty Parlor in a small parish in modern-day Louisiana, STEEL MAGNOLIAS is the story of a close-knit circle of friends whose lives come together there. As the picture opens, we find Drum Eatenton shooting birds in the trees of his back yard in preparation for his daughter’s wedding reception that afternoon. Shortly thereafter, M’Lynn and Shelby (Drum’s wife and daughter) depart for Truvy’s to get their hair done for the wedding. “Just the sweetest thing,” Annelle Depuy Desoto (who may or may not be married because her marriage may not be legal) is introduced to Truvy’s customers as her new “glamour technician.” While in the chairs, the sour-tempered Ouiser Boudreaux shows up and entertains the assemblage with her barbs. It seems that the only one of the group who truly understands Ouiser is Clairee who is recently widowed and looking for a diversion. As she says, later in the picture, “If you can’t find anything good to say about anybody, come sit by me.” Filled with humor and heartbreak, these “Steel Magnolias” make us laugh and cry as the realities of their lives in tiny Chiquapin Parish unfolds.

Topic: It’s time to vent

What’s going on in your life right now that’s driving you nuts?

everything makes me nuts! I am really peeved that the lawn mowing people haven’t come (AGAIN) and I have been waiting since Christmas time. the grass is going to be  up to my knees. I have called and everything.

My family makes me nuts too. especially the control freak aunt – boy she pisses me off most of the time!

I have to go and run away now as I am hungry – see you later!

Topic: Does everything happen for a reason?

Do you believe everything happens for a reason? Why or why not?

I believe that God is in charge and he allows bad stuff to happen to me sometimes but he doesn’t not cause the bad stuff. I get really narked sometimes though as it feels like he is not there or I get hurt or bad stuff happens. But God still loves me and is still with me and helps me. Not always the way I want to get helped though.

I discovered after my strokes that I have been able to help other people whose families had strokes and stuff. So that is really good! Thats what I think anyway!

How do you stay entertained when you are snowed in?

I don’t know as we don’t live anywhere near snow! But I have been flooded in – .

I remember heaps of floods when I was a child and when I was older!

In 1990 there was a flood in Forbes (where I live) and I was pregnant with Steffi. I was at my friends house in Barwin Street. I wanted to go to the shop, Barry Sullivan’s, for smokes and stuff. The flood was really strong around the corner and I managed to struggle though the water and get the stuff and come back. I almost fell in quite a few time. I have never forgotten that day!
